February 10 14

This week we begin the novel "The Giver" by Lois Lowry.  It is one of my personal favourites as she was such a trailblazer for "dystopian literature".  This novel was the pre-cursor to other favourites such as "The Hunger Games".  Hopefully, it will create lots of discussion within the class and at home as well!

Check out this site for various reviews of the book.  ** Spoiler alert.  This is for parents only!  It may give important information away wink
